DPNRV will host Love Life, whose mission is to mobilize the evangelical church to be present and offer hope and support to abortion-vulnerable families, August 6th-12th. We will be one of 40 churches adopting a week of prayer including a corporate prayer night and Saturday prayer walks at the Roanoke Planned Parenthood.

Love Life is inspired to a four-step process based on Nehemiah’s story in the Bible (Hear, Pray, Go, and Connect). The adoption week starts by "hearing" about the tragic truth of abortion and what God’s Word says about it. Then we call the church to a day of "prayer"on Wednesday (August 9th)  and then to "Go" to the prayer walk on Saturday (August 12th). At the end of the peaceful time of prayer on Saturday and at the conclusion of the prayer walk, we invite christians into ongoing ministry around the supporting and sustaining folks and their decisions. This can be expressions of sidewalk outreach, mentoring new parents, evangelism/discipleship, orphan care, and post-abortive healing (training provided).
