Disaster Relief

Being His Hands and Feet
There are many ways to respond to the needs in our community and in North Carolina. We're thankful to be part of a generous community.

MISSION TO WNC
DPNRV leadership is collecting supplies and mobilizing a team, led by Jim Collop, to depart on Monday, October 7.

Please bring the following supplies or donations to church by Sunday, October 6 to serve the Living Waters family and Balsam Grove community in Pisgah Forest:

  • Bottled water (singles and gallon jugs)

  • Charcoal, lighter fluid and propane of any size

  • Canned meat, peanut butter or beans

  • Shelf stable food: pasta, rice, juice, canned veggies and fruit

  • Baby wipes, mouth wash, deodorant etc.

  • First-aid supplies, batteries, flashlights

  • Cleaning wipes, bleach, dish soap, clothing detergent etc.

  • Paper towels, plates, bowls and disposable utensils

You can give to the spotlight HERE at DP or directly to Living Waters HERE

REACHING OUR COMMUNITY
Bull and Bones is providing boiled water. Others have opened their homes for meals and clean showers. Some are delivering bottled water from WV or Roanoke to elderly and shut-ins.This is also a great opportunity to donate gently used clothing and furniture to those who lost personal belongings.

CONNECT WITH THESE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY
Several efforts responding to needs along the New River all the way to Damascus.

As happens time and time again, we are astounded at the generosity and love that is displayed by this fellowship! Thank you for opening your hearts and loving like Jesus loves to communities near and far. May the Lord bless and keep you and your families and your homes.
